===== Epidemiologie =====

  * Golden RT, Rottweiler, belgischer Schäferhund
  * männlich
  * eher jung

===== Ursache =====

  * Allergie
  * Parasiten (Toxoplasma gondii, Neospora caninum, Myiasis)
  * idiopathisch
  * Pilze
  * Protozoen

===== Symptome =====

  * cerebellare Ataxie
  * Anfälle
  * Halsbiegeschmerz
  * asymmetrische Kopfnervendefizit

===== Diagnose =====

  * Blut: periphere Eosinophilie
  * Liquor: Eosinophilie
  * MRI: diffuse hypointenses Signal der grauen Substanz mit diffusen Nekrosen / Atrophie der kortikalen grauen Substanz
  * Patho: Eosinophile und mononukläre Infiltration vom Hirn (Medulla oblongata, Cerebellum) und RM
  * Untersuchung auf  Toxoplasmen, Neospora caninum, Dirofilaria immitis, Staupe, Tollwut

===== Therapie =====

  * Dexamethason hochdosiert + Prednisolon für 6 Wo
  * Prognose ist gut
